Conflict The truckers vote this Sunday if they return to the strike
The threat of a new strike for self-employed truck drivers and small transport companies starting next Thursday the 30th is fading away.
45% of the professionals
who were summoned to vote in the provincial assemblies yesterday
opted not to resume the strikes.
Another 41% were in favor and the remaining 14% abstained, in the sense that they would end up joining the majority position.
The key to this outcome was the last-minute proposal made by the Ministry of Transport to the National Platform for the Defense of Transport, in the sense that
they would be included as a key actor in the development of regulations that prohibit the hiring of Lost truckers.
