  • Rugby The Instagram of a Romanian player can give Spain back its options to go to the Rugby World Cup

The Spanish team stays out of the Rugby World Cup.

This has been resolved by the International Federation after

a committee has rejected the arguments expressed in the appeal

presented jointly by the FER and the players of the national team.

The appeal was for the XV del León to recover the ten points that had been deducted when he was sanctioned for misalignment by Gavin van den Berg in two games he won.

But it has not been successful.

The new sentence is limited to the fact, already established in the first, that he should not have enrolled in the selection and does not admit the new evidence provided in the appeal.

These tests tried to show that the player knew and hid that his documents had been forged.

However, the sentence released this Monday considers that the appeal

has not sufficiently explained why this evidence was not provided at the first hearing

.

In this way, Santos' team remains in fourth place in the European qualifying tournament, behind Georgia and Romania, who are going to the World Cup, and Portugal, who will play the playoffs.
