The goalkeeper of the Cébazat football team has been suspended for fifteen years by the disciplinary committee of the Puy-de-Dôme football district, as reported by

La Montagne

this Sunday.

On May 26, Ascension Day, he violently attacked the referee of the match between his team and Messeix, during the semi-final of the Seniquette consoling cup.

Summoned to court

According to the local media, the Cébazat team had just taken a goal immediately contested by the goalkeeper in question.

Faced with the behavior of the latter, who raised his voice threateningly, the 45-year-old referee issued a yellow card.

Insults rang out.

Yellow had given way to red.

The goalkeeper, who is a sports educator with young footballers, then struck a violent punch on the temple of the referee.

The latter, shocked, filed a complaint the next day.

A 26-year-old also reportedly threw a ball over the head of the referee, who was otherwise outraged by another player.

The three men are summoned before the Clermont-Ferrand Criminal Court in January 2023.
