Al-Ahly faces Petrojet, who has qualified since April 2021, in the Egypt Cup semi-finals

Al-Ahly reached the semi-finals of the postponed 2020-2021 edition of the Egypt Cup football competition, with its victory over Pyramids 2-1 at Cairo International Stadium on Sunday.

Al-Ahly advanced through Taher Mohamed Taher (18), and substitute Hossam Hassan added the second goal in the second minute of stoppage time, recording his first goals with his new team since his move to him from Smouha at the beginning of the current season, before Pyramids responded late with a penalty kick for Ramadan Sobhi in Sixth minute of added time.

Al-Ahly, the winner of the last edition of the 2019-2020 season, got rid of its contract against Pyramids, which eliminated it from the quarter-finals of the competition in the 2017-2018 season and the final price of the 2018-2019 season.

Al-Ahly will meet in the semi-finals with the second division team Petrojet, which reached the round of four on April 29, 2021, with a 2-1 victory over Wadi Degla.

The winner of Al-Ahly and Petrojet will meet in the final match with Zamalek, who beat Aswan 2-1 in the fourth round last Thursday.
