Although professional salaries in women's football have increased in recent years, women's are far from men's levels.

Hedvig Lindahl does not have to go back the band very far as she was having a hard time financially.

- It has not been a lucrative business for our family.

When we moved to England and Chelsea it was a minus business.

Then I had to borrow money from a person who worked within the club's organization to be able to afford to buy a car, because we went minus.

It was so expensive with childcare in England, she says.

Then you think national team goalkeeper Hedvig Lindahl ...

- Yes exactly, and it was 2015. Everyone sees the development that is happening now.

It's cool to be with now.

It may not have paid off for me all these years, but it does make it a little more worth it.

Sambon's message about the future

In the episode, we also meet Lindahl's wife, Sabine and the couple's two sons who have been with her in Madrid during the season when playing time has been missed.

- People probably think, it's Hedvig Lindahl, she has no feelings.

But it is clear that she is an ordinary person like everyone else.

She comes home and questions why she is not allowed to play, she has done something wrong.

But she gets up in the morning and does the job, says Sabine Willms.

How long do you want to see her continue to play?

- For me, it is important that she feels 100 percent ready when she quits.

I do not want her to be a bitter aunt when she grows older who says she could have continued for a few more years.

So I usually say, do it until you feel ready.
