A shocking decision by Al-Khatib .. a radical change in the Egyptian Al-Ahly!

The Egyptian Al-Ahly club has become closer than ever to contracting the goalkeeper of Zamalek and the Pharaohs' national team, Mohamed Abu Jabal, in light of the decline in the level of its first guard and team captain, Mohamed El-Shennawy, and the lack of a convincing alternative to defend the Red Devils goal.

And the “Kora in Al-Ardah” website quoted sources within Al-Ahly that there are strong negotiations with Abu Jabal and the existence of an official offer awaiting the signing of the goalkeeper without disclosing any details of this contract.

He added that Al-Ahly President Mahmoud Al-Khatib is convinced of the necessity of obtaining the services of a strong guard to be a competitor to Mohamed El-Shennawy for his main position, especially that the level of the latter has clearly declined in recent times.

For his part, Al-Shennawi is trying hard to leave Al-Ahly in light of the financial temptations that connect him to the form of interesting contracts, some of which amounted to about two million dollars, which the goalkeeper is seriously considering to enter a real professional experience that secures his future.

It is noteworthy that Abu Jabal Zad was on the Egyptian national team’s goal in important knockout matches in the African Nations Cup, in which he grabbed the spotlight even from Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, after he played a key role in qualifying for the final match before Egypt lost on penalties to Senegal.
