Serena Williams recently announced that she intends to play Wimbledon, which starts on Monday.
Now she is rehearsing in Eastbourne and she started with a victory.
The American and Jabeur won 2-1 in sets after an exciting tiebreak that ended 13-11.
The opposition was Sara Sorribes Tormo and Marie Bouzkova.
After the match, Williams admitted that during the past year there have been moments when she has doubted whether she will ever play again.
- I really take on one day at a time, she says and continues:
- I really took time with my injury so I will not just make a lot of decisions after this.
