The Qatar Economic Forum witnessed two dialogue sessions on the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, attended by FIFA President Gianni Infantino, and Hassan Al Thawadi, Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy responsible for the tournament.

The first dialogue session was titled "Organizing the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar," in which Al Thawadi said, "We received 27 million requests for World Cup tickets, and two million of them were responded to, and we will provide them with housing options that meet all needs at reasonable prices."

He added, "Fans will come from all countries of the world to watch the matches, and they will enjoy in Qatar a championship held on our land," noting that "the infrastructure for the Qatar 2022 World Cup is ready despite the Covid-19 pandemic."

"We are proud of what we have achieved in the field of workers' rights," Al-Thawadi said.

This was confirmed by the FIFA President in the next dialogue session, entitled "The Countdown to the Greatest Event on Earth", in which he said that "all human rights and labor organizations talked about the achievements and legislations achieved by Qatar in the field of workers' rights."

"The World Cup in Qatar will be the best ever, and everyone is eagerly waiting for it," Infantino added.

The FIFA president added, "The World Cup is organized by Qatar, but it will be the championship of the Gulf Cooperation Council and Arab countries, and everyone will enjoy it. Everyone is welcome in Qatar, and the facts must be viewed without falsification."
