For the first time in Cykelvasan's twelve-year history, introduced in 2009 with a break in 2020 due to the corona pandemic, SVT broadcasts the competition in its entirety live.

Sweden's largest mountain bike race in the classic Vasaloppet track has all the prerequisites to become a real summer highlighter on television, says Åsa Edlund Jönsson.

On 13 August, the elite will compete in Sweden's largest mountain bike race, the 94-kilometer road between Sälen and Mora.

- Finally, we can offer a new tradition with TV breakfast and blueberry soup and show off the Vasaloppet arena in summer attire, says Johan Eriksson, CEO of Vasaloppet.

Over the years, 18 different cyclists have taken home the final victory.

On the women's side, last year's winner Jennie Stenerhag is the one who has won the most times in total, with her five wreaths.

In the men's class, the Norwegian Kristian Klevgård last year became the first non-Swedish cyclist to take home the prestigious competition.

The ladies' elite starts at 07.30 and the men's elite 45 minutes later, 08.15.

The start class of the exercise class leaves every five minutes, starting at

08.30.

The broadcast time is 07.25-11.15 on SVT1 and on Play on 13/8.
