Senegalese star Sadio Mane has become an example of loyalty to the people of his village in which he grew up, and is working to turn it into a city through a series of large projects.

Mane, 30, was born in 1992 in a small village called Sedio, located on the Casamance River in southern Senegal, to a family interested in the Islamic call, where his father was the imam of the village mosque.

The former Liverpool player, who will be announced tomorrow as a Bayern Munich player, built a hospital at a cost of 455,000 euros and a school at a cost of 250,000 euros.

He also secured 4G internet in his remote village, providing 70 euros per month for each family in the village and a free laptop computer for each outstanding student in the village.

The Senegalese star, who led his country to winning the African Nations Championship and qualified for the World Cup in Qatar, is building a post office and a fuel station.

In a documentary film shown in 2020, Mani told the story of his father’s death in 1999, describing it as the major stab, saying that he received the news of the death at the age of only 7 years, as he was playing in the street and his brother told him of their father’s death due to his suffering from pain in his stomach, after which he was transferred to a distant hospital. There were no hospitals in their village.

After about 23 years, Mani did not forget the death of his father due to the lack of a hospital in his village, so he built a hospital for the village, he also built a mosque and renovated the old school in it, in order to contribute to making life better for future generations in his hometown.

Despite the death of his father more than two decades ago, he was influenced by his morals as the imam of the village mosque, and he became one of the most humble stars, although he reached the top of the African football and became one of the world's elite stars in the round witch.
