Marcelo Bielsa, who already coached Bilbao between 2011 and 2013, was approached in March but took his time before giving an answer because "it is a very great responsibility to assume this commitment to train a team like Athletic,” he said in the video.

The Argentinian was full of praise for the Basque team, which he considers to be "comparable in quality" compared to the team he managed to take to the Europa League final against Spain. Atletico Madrid (3-0 defeat).

Bielsa, currently without contract after her leeds dismissal at the end of February, could take the place of Coach Marcelino, who no longer wishes to continue the adventure within the Basque Country.
