Louise Hansson took her first individual medal in a long distance championship, bronze in the 100 meter butterfly, in Budapest during the European Championships last year.

Tomorrow she starts the WC with the favorite distance and enters as one of several pre-favorites in the branch.

-I am ranked fourth so it feels like the top positions are not far away and it will be tight at the top but I have done all the training I can and the form feels good, she says.

Hansson enjoys being back in the Hungarian capital, which hosted the World Cup last 2017 and also hosted, among other things, the European Championships and several competitions in the International Swimming League.

-I'm very tagged, it's great fun to be in Budapest, it almost feels like it's home you have been here so many times and competed so you feel relatively calm when you are here - it feels very familiar

Starts on the favorite route

That she has her main branch right the first day is something Hansson likes and she comes to the WC with a strong season behind her where she lined up even times of just 100 meters butterfly swimming.

During the World Short Course Championships in December in Abu Dhabi, Louise Hansson won a total of seven medals, of which one gold, silver and bronze individually.

Now she is looking forward to starting the competition at the World Cup and that she is one of the pre-favorites of 100 butterfly is inspiring.

-I am very tagged, I feel more confident in myself in the competition I got a lot of experience during the autumn to compete at a high level.

I had to go in with pressure that I had not felt before.

So I think the biggest challenge is to stay calm and relax and just try to enjoy it because that's when I swim best when there is no stress in swimming.
