Bayern Munich is silent about Mane and announces the departure of Lucas May

Bayern Munich announced today, Saturday, the departure of defender Lars Lucas Mai from the team to join the Swiss Lugano, but the Bavarian club remained silent regarding reports that it had reached an agreement to include Senegalese star Sadio Mane, the Liverpool striker.

May, 22, joined Bayern Munich as a youth player in 2014, but he rarely participated in the first team, and spent two loan periods for Darmstadt and Werder Bremen.

Bayern Munich announced the transfer of May to Lugano in a statement on its website, after bidding farewell to Spanish midfielder Marc Roca, who joined Leeds United, on Friday.

But Bayern, the German league champion (Bundesliga), did not announce anything officially about Sadio Mane, although reports in England and Germany stated that the two clubs had reached an agreement on the transfer of the player for about 40 million euros ($42 million), including variables.

Reports said that Bayern Munich football director Hasan Salihamidzic was in Liverpool for talks.

Bayern Munich refused to comment in this regard upon receiving a call from the German news agency.

But before completing any deal, Sadio Mane is supposed to undergo a medical examination, and the player recently appeared in a video clip while he was in Senegal.

Mane, 30, spoke frankly about thinking about his future with Liverpool, who has already found an alternative option by completing a contract with striker Darwin Nunez from Benfica.

The contract with Mane may be crucial for Bayern in light of the possibility of the departure of Polish attacking star Robert Lewandowski to Barcelona.

Lewandowski reiterated his desire to leave Bayern Munich, but the Bavarian club confirmed that he has a contract that is still valid for another year.
