The German champions Bayern Munich and Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt will play the opening game of the coming Bundesliga season on August 5 (8:30 p.m.).
This was the result of the publication of the game schedule by the German Football League on Friday.
In addition, the two Champions League participants Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen meet on the first day of the game.
The other matches: Union Berlin against Hertha BSC, 1. FC Köln against Schalke 04, Borussia Mönchengladbach against TSG Hoffenheim, VfL Wolfsburg against Werder Bremen, VfL Bochum against Mainz 05, FC Augsburg against SC Freiburg and VfB Stuttgart against RB Leipzig.
In the Bundesliga, the season that will be interrupted by the World Cup in Qatar from November 21st to December 18th begins on August 5th.
Because of the World Cup, there will be a two-month winter break during the upcoming season.
Therefore, the first half of the Bundesliga season will be interrupted after the 15th matchday.
After the winter break, it will continue on January 20, 2023.
The season ends on 27./28.
