Barely recovered from his 22nd Grand Slam title, the 14th at Roland-Garros, and still bothered by his interminable foot problems, Rafael Nadal announced his intention to play at Wimbledon on Friday.

The calendar Grand Slam therefore remains theoretically possible for Rafa, even if the London grass is the surface that suits him the least (along with indoors).

"My intention is to try to play Wimbledon," the Spanish tennis player told reporters on his island of Mallorca, in the Balearic archipelago, where he did his first grass training on Monday.

Competition is warned.
