The Golden State Warriors are the new NBA champions after beating the Boston Celtics 103-90 over Boston in Game 6 of the Finals.

A rebirth for a franchise that won its fourth title in eight years, but which came out of two very difficult seasons.

One more title for Steph Curry, one of the best players in the world.

A few seconds left to play, victory already assured.

He's used to winning, but Steph Curry can't hold back the tears.

His father, also a former NBA player, watches him proudly from the sidelines, an unlit cigar in his hand.

Apart from a very early game to the advantage of the Celtics (14-2), the Dubs have mastered their subject.

Their defense was iron, causing 22 lost balls in the Celtics, while winning the rebound battle (29 including 15 offensive).

In ten minutes, they inflicted a 35-8 in Boston, KO standing like his public yet boiling until then, succeeding in passing a 21-0, unheard of in the final in 50 years.

Steph is 3-for-3 from deep in Q3 🔥🔥🔥

The Golden State Warriors are champions for the fourth time since 2015, but they were the league's worst team just three years ago.

Blame the injuries, his own and those of his teammates, the many injuries, including those, serious, which struck down Klay Thompson, victim of ruptures to a cruciate ligament and right Achilles tendon.

Hence the emotion of the playmaker, once the match is over.

At the start of the season, nobody imagined us here.

We hit rock bottom with the injuries, there was all this work afterwards.

Reaching the final, we never take it for granted because we don't know if it will happen again, so being back is fabulous,

”gloats the playmaker from Golden State.

Stephen Curry forever in NBA history

Stephen Curry goes a little further into the history of his sport.

Already twice crowned best player in the championship, he also became the Finals MVP for the first time, the best player in the final, with 31.2 average points in the series against Boston.

The 34-year-old had already been rewarded for his past exploits behind the arc with two titles of best player in the regular season in 2015 and 2016. Here he is, the leader under 1.90 m, in the very closed to legends like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant or LeBron James.

On the floor of the Boston Celtics last night, he scored 34 points, including 6 3-point shots, his specialty.

After one of his shots, the best shooter on the planet showed the crowd his ring finger, ready to welcome a new ring of champion, as is the tradition in the United States.

Champion and lodger.
