The American's lawyers wanted a new hearing because of Judge Rosemarie Aquilina's choice of words at the trial in 2018 when she called him "a monster who would rot in prison like the evil witch in The Wizard of Oz" and "I just wrote under your death sentence".
Sentenced to 40 years in prison
The court in Michigan had concerns about the judge's behavior, but said that despite her provocative comments, she adhered to the agreement.
More than 150 victims testified at the trial four years ago.
Nassar was sentenced to 40 years in prison for sexually abusing gymnasts and other athletes he treated for injuries.
The national team doctor in gymnastics was sentenced to another 40 years in prison in a separate case in another court.
Add to that jail time for child pornography offenses.
