The 2026 World Cup will be hosted by three countries - the United States, Canada and Mexico.

Four years until the World Cup is decided, but the international football association Fifa has now chosen which arenas the world championship will be played in.

In the US, there will be nine arenas - including Metlife Stadium in New Jersey and Sofi Stadium in Los Angeles.

While there will be three in Mexico, one of them is the Azteca Stadium where the 1970 World Cup final was decided.

And Canada gets two venues - BC Place in Vancouver and BMO Field in Toronto.

The 2026 World Cup will be the largest world championship to date, as the number of nations that can qualify has been increased to 48.

SVT and TV4 broadcast the World Cup 2026.
