Tunisia won the "Kirin" Cup, a friendly football tournament, after its 3-0 victory over hosts Japan in the final of the Quartet Tournament on Tuesday.

The "Carthage Eagles" hat-trick was scored by Muhammad Ali Bin Ramadan (55 from a penalty kick), Ferjani Sassi (76) and Issam Al-Jabali in the third minute of overtime.

Tunisia beat Chile 2-0, while Japan beat Ghana 4-1 in the friendly tournament semi-finals, in preparation for the World Cup finals, which start in Qatar in November.

The prize money for the winning team is $250,000.

The Tunisian national team is preparing to compete in the World Cup finals for the sixth time in its history in the World Cup Qatar 2022, where it is in Group D along with the defending champion France, Denmark and Australia.
