It was the most likely scenario, it is now official.

The DNCG decided on Tuesday to sanction the Girondins de Bordeaux with an administrative demotion as a precautionary measure in National 1 due to the club's financial difficulties.

The Navy and White, owned by businessman Gerard Lopez, now have seven days to appeal from the day after the decision was notified to him.

As a reminder, the club must plug a hole of 40-45 million euros after its sporting demotion in Ligue 2 to complete the budget for this season.

The Girondins also carried out a transfer of ownership of the debt a few days ago to reduce it by 50%, but this did not therefore completely convince the DNCG.
