In superior style, Linn Grant took home Scandinavian Mixed in Halmstad and became the first woman to win a European tour competition for both ladies and men.

The 22-year-old was a full nine strokes ahead of Henrik Stenson and Marc Warren who shared second place.

- It's almost a little inconceivable, what she did.

In the way of putting together four rounds so incredibly well in a row, in front of home audiences.

Not many have made it.

Of course there are some examples historically, of course.

But this is one of the biggest golf companies I have seen in my entire career, says Catrin Nilsmark, former professional golfer, to SVT Sport.

Nilsmark, who won a major in 1999, watched almost the entire competition from Halmstad.

"Has come a long way in its development"

- When you looked at her, you thought "she is in shape, she just plays, she has no nerves".

But it was far from that according to interviews.

And the most impressive thing is to be so nervous and be able to handle the nerves under those circumstances.

It was at home, there was great surveillance and a massive audience figure, says Nilsmark and continues:

- It speaks for extremely good focus and mental strength.

To be so nervous and still be able to go out and do the job, you have come a long way in your development.

What do you think about her future?

- Our own Annika (Sörenstam ed.) Has set up a lot of challenges for her so that yes, why not get as far as Annika if we say major victories and all that.

I simply see a world star.

A potentially future world number one.
