His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, stressed that clubs and football companies play a pivotal role in the development of sports in general, and football in particular in the UAE, as it is a center for the selection, development and participation of players in competitions at the state level, while Through them, the national teams are formed.

His Highness said: "The presence of strong teams paves the way for strong competitions, and qualifies teams capable of winning titles.. Clubs play a major and essential role in the development of sports at the state level.. Unions will not succeed in achieving their goals without the presence of clubs and teams that include talented players and are able to raise the ceiling of performance. In the competition to the level that we all look forward to.”

This came during a meeting of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairmen of the boards of directors of clubs and football companies in Dubai, at the council's headquarters, in the presence of Mattar Al Tayer, Vice Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.

During the meeting, His Highness stressed the importance of preparing well for the upcoming sports season, selecting the best elements to take over the responsibilities of teams at the administrative, technical and medical levels, and choosing the best elements from Emirati players, professionals and residents, while giving the opportunity for talented players from the youth and reserve teams to join the first team, and represent their clubs in Next season’s competitions, especially since the experience of giving young players the opportunity to play with the first team has resulted in the emergence of many national talents who deserved their place in the club’s first team, as well as in the first national team.

His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Muhammad stressed the importance of activating cooperation between the boards of directors, and said: “Competition between clubs to win and win titles is required, but it does not prevent cooperation and coordination, because the administrations of clubs and football companies achieve many benefits and gains by joining forces, and that The success of the boards of directors and the display of excellence in each of them at work, depends largely on the ability of the leaders to rationalize expenditures, and to achieve exemplary use of resources at the level of financial budgets and human resources, and talents that need expertise in selecting the distinguished ones from inside or outside the club, and joining him to the team The first is to be an influential party in a team capable of competing and winning.”

The meeting was attended by the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, the member of the Dubai Sports Council and Chairman of the Football Companies Development Committee, Muhammad Al-Kamali, and the Assistant Secretary-General of the Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, and from the companies of football clubs and companies in Dubai: Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Nasr Club, Marwan Bin Ghalita, Chairman of the Transitional Committee for the Management of Al Wasl Sports Club, Ahmed Al Shafar, Member of the Board of Directors of Al Ahly Youth Football Company, Ibrahim Abdul Malik, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hatta Club, Ali Obaid Al Badawi.

The heads of the boards of directors of clubs and football companies thanked His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, for providing the opportunity for this meeting, to receive His Highness’s directives for the next stage, and for His Highness’s keenness to listen to them and see their needs, stressing that they are working in complete harmony with the Dubai Sports Council. And in accordance with the regulations, systems and procedures determined by the Council, with the aim of developing work in clubs and football companies, and reaching the required level of success and achievements at the level of administrative and technical work and results.

During the meeting, they discussed the status of Rashid Stadium in Al-Shabab Al-Ahly Club, and Zabeel Stadium in Al-Wasl Club. The approved financial regulations for government support and rewards for winning in various tournaments, including support for teams that qualify for the advanced roles in Asian competitions, were reviewed during the meeting. Shabab Al-Ahly team, which qualified for the round of 16 in the AFC Champions League for the current season, will win it.
