And Man City, the English Premier League champions, announced last May that it had reached an agreement with Dortmund on the player’s $63 million release clause.

Haaland, the son of Alf Inge Haaland, who played for Manchester City between 2000 and 2003, is one of the most prominent stars at the present time, and has scored 86 goals in 89 games in two and a half seasons with Borussia Dortmund.

"It's a proud day for me and my family," Haaland said. "I've always watched Manchester City, and I've loved it in recent seasons."

"I want to score goals, win trophies and develop as a footballer, and I'm sure I can achieve it here. It's a huge step for me, and I can't wait to start preparing for the season."

It is noteworthy that Halland scored 5 goals for his country in 4 matches in the European Nations League to top the list of top scorers in the continental championship, and he also scored 20 goals in 21 matches with his country, and is ranked ninth in the list of historical scorers for his country, only 12 goals away from the leaders the list.
