Sweden was looking for revenge after the loss against Norway last week.

But the Norwegian superstar Erling Braut Haaland made sure that it did not happen.

The 21-year-old offered a big show in the rival meeting.

Already after ten minutes came the first cold shower for Blågult.

Haaland, who became a two-goal shooter in the last race, stayed ahead on a post and nodded in the Norwegian lead goal.

Cold shower number two came at the beginning of the second half.

After VAR was involved, the German referee Harm Osmers pointed to the penalty spot.

Once there, Haaland did not make a mistake and thus scored his fourth goal against Sweden in two matches.

Forsberg gave Sweden contact

Shortly after the second Norwegian goal, national team captain Janne Andersson chose to stow the team.

The offensive trio Viktor Gyökeres, Anthony Elanga and Viktor Claesson were replaced, something that gave results immediately.

Dejan Kulusevski found Emil Forsberg in the penalty area who distinctly pushed the ball up in the nearest cross.

2-1 on the board and new hope for Blågult.

Sörloth decided

Sweden did not come any closer than that, however.

Instead, Alexander Sörloth reached the top on a post from Haaland and was able to nod in 3-1.

Viktor Gyökeres admittedly reduced in extra time, but Norway was able to persevere and take the second straight victory against Sweden.

It was Blågult's third straight loss.

It is the first time in nine years that you lose three straight competitive matches.

With the loss, Sweden has no chance of being promoted to the highest league in the Nations League.

Blågult is currently third in the group and must focus on staying in the B-division.
