Lotte, a professional baseball team, will welcome a 10-year-old boy who is continuing treatment for acute lymphocytic leukemia as part of a project to support children who are undergoing long-term medical treatment, and will be invited to participate in the team's activities. We had an enrollment meeting on the 11th.

Mr. Mikio Utsunomiya (10), a fifth grader who continues to treat acute lymphocytic leukemia, joined Lotte.

This is the first time for professional baseball to join Lotte through an NPO that supports independence by having children who are undergoing long-term medical treatment become members of a sports team and work together.

The press conference will be held at ZOZO Marine Stadium in Chiba City. First of all, Lotte's director Tadahito Iguchi said, "I'm a new helper, Miki-kun. I'm really looking forward to fighting together this season. I'm doing it. "

After signing his contract, Utsunomiya put his sleeve on a uniform with his name and number.

"I'm looking forward to seeing the speed and batting of the players up close. I want to be a teammate who can motivate and inspire the players by getting along with everyone and supporting them." I talked about enthusiasm.

After hearing his enthusiasm, Director Iguchi said with a smile, "It's reliable. The answer is solid from the players. I think it will be a good helper."

According to the team, Mr. Utsunomiya plans to participate in team practice once or twice a month and to have a work experience at the stadium.
