Meet the youngest Emirati rider to participate in the European Yamaha Championship

Young cyclist Mohammed Abdul Aziz bin Laden represents the UAE in the fourth round of the Yamaha European Motorcycle Championship in Italy, to be the youngest player to represent the country after he got a golden opportunity to participate with the world champions at the Italian Mizan circuit.

14-year-old Mohammed is one of the talents that emerged from the "Mini GB" motorcycle project, which was established with the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment to Support Youth Enterprises and includes a large number of riders who hope to achieve their ambitions to reach the world.

Anas Al Mutawa, Director of Mini GB, confirmed that Mohammed bin Laden's participation in the European Championship opened the door to hope for more Emirati talents to reach this level, especially since the beginning of learning motorcycle racing starts at the age of 10 years, which is the same thing that we aspire through to Establishing a professional generation of youngsters and qualifying them to participate in international races and raise the country’s flag externally.

He said, "Our goal was to have an Emirati champion in the global forum, so we established the project, which came with the support of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment to Support Youth Projects nearly two years ago, and we have headquarters and rinks for training, we have implemented safety precautions, and we have started to attract amateur players to train them on Mini GB bikes." We also recruited amateurs and motorcyclists for training and the focus was on the youngsters."

He added, "We do not have a generation that plays with Mini GB motorcycles. Indeed, we started from beginners, some of whom have never driven a motorcycle, and a large number of young and old, amateurs and professionals joined us. With practice, the situation improved, especially with the change of circuits, and most importantly, the application of technology in different circuits."

He noted that the company succeeded in organizing a number of championships and races in the Middle East last year, and the first championship was the Emirates Mini GB Championship, which took place in 5 different circuits within the country, in which a number of foreign and Gulf professional riders participated alongside the amateurs, and he said: “We aim Behind it is the combination of participation of all levels in raising the level of amateurs and gaining the experience of professionals and foreigners.
