Last season, Abascal took second place in the Swiss championship along with Basel.
Spartak's social networks also noted that Abaskal is considered one of the most promising young coaches in Europe.
On June 9, Spartak announced the resignation of Italian coach Paolo Vanoli, under whose leadership the red-and-whites won the Russian Cup.
Earlier, the former goalkeeper of the USSR national team and Spartak Anzor Kavazashvili offered to return the former team coach Dmitry Alenichev to the club.
