The season ended with a happy ending.

Led 3-0 in the first half, the Stade Rennais reserve team signed an improbable 7-4 victory on the final day of National 3, offering themselves a ticket to move up to National 2. A moment of happiness for all the young players who made it possible to forget the worries of a season like no other.

On April 28, the evening of a defeat against Stade Brestois, the director of the Stade Rennais training center Denis Arnaud was taken to task by the father of a player.

Captain of the reserve, Noah Françoise had seen his father hit the leader for a still unclear reason.

Some sources evoke "the frustration" of the father, who did not accept that his son was not more integrated into the pro group led by Bruno Genesio.

The player disavows the act of his father

This Friday, the father of the young player will be seated in the dock in the courtroom of the Criminal Court of Rennes, following the complaint of the manager and his club.

“I condemn this incident, independent of my will and which absolutely does not reflect the values in which I believe and in which (sic) I grew up”, had declared the player, disavowing his father.

He had also not been sanctioned and continued the season with the reserve, the captain's armband still on his arm.

However, training had been canceled for several days at the training center.

FYI, and it's info but not an excuse for this fight I prefer to specify, Noah's father has long criticized the club for the treatment of his son, under a pro contract without really being considered as such at the SRFC.

Why did this parent use such violent behavior?

The question will be raised this Friday and will no doubt echo the growing pressure on some leaders from parents.

“If you come to train children or train players in a pro club or train professionals, it is not to be molested at the edge of the field.

There are other means than violence or intolerance.

There is a real reflection to be had.

Not just in football, ”said Bruno Genesio after the incident.
