Tomorrow, Ingrid Lindblad starts in Scandinavian Mixed in her hometown of Halmstad.

When the 22-year-old, who usually plays college golf for Louisiana State, answered for a record-breaking first round at the US Open last week - 65 strokes - she went in the same ball as Annika Sörenstam herself.

- She played incredibly well.

Her chipping, she hit some incredibly good over hills and so on.

It was fun to see that she has feeling and she has height, says Sörenstam about the amateur Lindblad.

When Lindblad gets to see what the golf legend has said, the smiles go up.

- Super cool.

Especially to play such a round with Annika, that alliting just fell into place.

She probably knew I hit far but the chipping is not so often highlights so it was cool.

"A lot of people who want to talk"

On location in Sweden after a flight that included visits to five different airports, Lindblad is back home in Sweden where she was not immediately met by peace and quiet.

- There is a lot of media and people who want to talk so I think it will be a pretty long week, says Lindblad who enjoys the attention.

Like the others in the golden golf generation, such as Frida Kinhult, Maja Stark and Linn Grant, Lindblad has not yet chosen to become a professional.

And she's going to wait a little longer.

This despite the fact that she would have earned over SEK 2 million for her eleventh place in the US Open if she had been a professional.

- When I entered the "scoring area" there was a piece of paper there with a list of prize money and then I just turned it away.

It's a lot of money but nothing I think about out on the track, says Lindblad.

- I have it pretty easy for school and I think it feels important to finish school and get a degree.

It is no stress to get into professional life.

It will always be there, Lindblad says.
