Al-Ahly club coach, Pitso Mosimane, caused a sensation in Egyptian sports circles about his future with the team, after his press statements yesterday, Wednesday, regarding the club and its fans' demands, and a mysterious tweet that sparked controversy on the communication platforms.

Musimani, through his official account on Twitter, published a collage of his championships that he won over 20 months with Al-Ahly Club, and said, "Over the past 20 months, this is our journey that God has honored us with. We are grateful and humbled."

For last 20 months, this is our journey that God has blessed us with.

God bless.

We are thankful and humbled.

Before the tweet, Musimani went out in an interview with the South African network, "Prime Sports", in which he said that "the ceiling of demands is high in Egypt, Al-Ahly wants to win every match, I have not seen a team that wants to win every match."

Musimani's statements caused anger within Al-Ahly, according to Egyptian sports websites and newspapers, which prompted the club to announce yesterday a meeting between its president Mahmoud Al-Khatib and members of the board of directors with the South African coach to discuss some technical and administrative matters.

Former Egyptian players and sports journalists believed that the recent escalation between the two parties would take matters to a difficult place, and other Al-Ahly fans wished Mosimani to stay.

And the former Al-Ahly and Zamalek player Ibrahim Saeed wrote on his personal account on Twitter, “Against the idea of Musimani’s departure from Al-Ahly because the alternative will come to the same players, so the board of directors is supposed to hold him accountable at the end of the season, then he makes a decision whether to stay or leave.”

The retired star Ahmed Hassan - who also played for Al-Ahly and Zamalek - said in a post on his personal Facebook page, "The Al-Ahly administration will announce the dispensation of Musimani at Saturday's conference if he does not agree to her requests, and Musimani informs the administration during the meeting that he has tempting offers."

In turn, sports journalist Mohamed Mustafa wished Musimani to stay after achieving great titles in difficult circumstances. As for sports analyst Mamdouh Nasrallah, he dedicated a special space on his YouTube channel to talk about the great contradiction in dealing with the issue of the South African coach, whether from the club's management or its fans.

In fact, I do not like Musimani’s statements and the way he responded in conferences and dialogues.. But overall, how can I say that a coach won 2 Africa and lost the third Final in very difficult circumstances, and won 2 African Super and 2 third World Cup clubs in very, very difficult circumstances, and the Egypt Cup, and I say that he did not succeed

I hope Mosimane stays

Why

did Musimani and his wife drown out the world's statements?!

What is in it?!

Is Al-Ahly never won championships

except under his leadership, or what?

I hope #Mosimani knows that

he is the one who benefited from Al-Ahly

more than Al-Ahly benefited from him 😁

Al-Ahly knows very well that you are a high-level coach, and your name is written in the history of Al-Ahly club, but you should know that Al-Ahly is the one who makes history.

All the support for you in the future and good luck in the future, God willing .❤🦅✌ https://t.co/mckmV95oY8
