Women's 1500m Qualifying Nozomi Tanaka at the top to advance to the final

In the women's 1500m qualifying, Nozomi Tanaka, who won the prize in this event of the Tokyo Olympics, advanced to the final held on the 10th at the top of the whole.


Tanaka, who appeared in the first qualifying group, escaped immediately after the start, pulled the race at the beginning, increased the pace for the last lap, and finished at the top as it was.

Tanaka had a time of 4: 15.19, which was the top overall, and she advanced to the final on the 10th.

Tanaka has broken the standard record for her participation in the world championships in this event, and if she finishes in third place in the final, she will be appointed to her representative on the spot.


After the race, Tanaka said, "I was running while worrying about the back. The condition is not bad and it is a matter of feeling, so I would like to face the final with a new feeling."
