Almost two weeks after the incidents that occurred at the Stade de France during the Champions League final, the Paris police chief Didier Lallement admitted to the Senate on Thursday that police management around the Champions League final Real Madrid-Liverpool on May 28 was "obviously a failure".

"It's obviously a failure," said Didier Lallement, mentioning the "jostling or assaulted" people and the "shaken image" of France.

"It's an injury for me," he added.
