, the 2024 edition of the Grande Boucle should end in Nice rather than on "the most beautiful avenue in the world".
The Grand Départ would be given from Florence, and more precisely from the Michelangelo esplanade, on June 29, 2024. Four stages would be planned on Italian soil according to the

, with the idea of paying tribute to some of the most illustrious
fuoriclasse
in the peloton's history, especially Marco Pantani.
All this to end three weeks later, on July 21, in Nice, due to the "proximity" of the Paris Olympic Games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.
An arrival far from the capital, which would be justified for organizational and security reasons.
It wouldn't bring back very good memories for Thibaut Pinot and all the runners who had tested the Nice ice rink in 2020...
