“Kuliak filed an appeal to the Gymnastic Ethics Foundation Appeal Tribunal against the decision of the disciplinary commission to disqualify him for one year,” TASS quoted Titov as saying.
Recall that the Russian came out with the letter Z on the form at the awards ceremony of the World Cup.
He later stated that he did this in response to the behavior of the Ukrainians, who were disrespectful towards Russian athletes throughout the tournament.
The International Gymnastics Federation suspended Kulyak for a year.
Earlier, Titov said that Kulyak would not return the bronze medal of the World Cup stage until the consideration of the appeal for a one-year suspension was completed and a final decision was made.
