The Korean men's under-23 (U-23) national team recorded a draw with Vietnam in a numerical disadvantage.



The Korean national team, led by coach Hwang Seon-hong, drew 1-1 with Vietnam in the 2022 Asian Football Federation (AFC) U-23 Asian Cup Group C second leg match held at Lokomotiv Stadium in Tashkent, Uzbekistan on the 5th.



Korea took the lead with Cho Young-wook's opening goal in the 18th minute of the second half, but after facing an unexpected red card from Jin-yong Lee, they allowed the equalizer.



Korea Republic, which won the first leg 4-1 against Malaysia on the 3rd, recorded 1 win and 1 draw (4 points), maintaining their first place in the group while Thailand and Malaysia have not played the second leg yet.



The U-23 Asian Cup final begins with a group stage in which 16 countries are divided into 4 groups of 4 countries.



Hwang Seon-Hong-Ho aims to advance to the quarterfinals through the final group match against Thailand on the 8th.



Vietnam, where Gong Oh-gyun took the new helm, was placed in second place in the group (2 points and 2 draws).
