Ghanaian midfielder Thomas Partey has announced his conversion to Islam and changed his name to Jacob.
Barty, 28, said in a video posted on social media that he converted to Islam because of marrying a Muslim woman.
"My name in Islam will be Jacob," he added.

Ghanaian local reports said that Barty is linked to a Moroccan girl named Sarah Bella, and they are expected to announce their marriage soon after his conversion to Islam.
Barty has starred in the English Premier League, since joining Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid, for 50 million euros.
