Ukraine were knocked out at the gates of the 2022 World Cup after losing 1-0 to Wales.
Gareth Bale's teammates will therefore fly to Qatar next November.
Ukraine's last and only participation in a World Cup dates back to 2006.
Wales qualified for the next World Cup in Qatar (November 21-December 18) on Sunday after beating Ukraine 1-0 in the play-off final in Cardiff.
This is the second time that the Welsh have managed to qualify for the competition after the World Cup in Sweden in 1958. Andriy Yarmolenko scored, against his camp, the only goal of the meeting which sends the Welsh in group B of the World Cup, with England, the United States and Iran.
