The Swedish golf amateur Ingrid Lindblad has been successful in this week's major competition US Open.

She opened hot, kept it nice during the second round and was in the top before Saturday's third lap.

There Lindblad started hot, with three early birdies.

But then the game started to go awry for the Swede.

"Not fully turned on"

She lost strokes and fell after the superior leader Minjee Lee, but still went in goal as a split four.

- I did not feel completely turned on and ended up in a bit of trouble, Lindblad says in the broadcast after the round.

She walked around in pairs.

On the last hole, Lindblad almost put his input for an eagle.

- I thought the ball actually went into the hole.

But it was nice to finish with a birdie, says Lindblad who is seven strokes behind Lee before Sunday.

Not over

Her coach Thomas Lindström does not deny that the distance is large, but says that the task is not impossible for Lindblad.

- On its own, it can be difficult to catch up.

She may need some help from Lee who needs to drop.

But it's easy to get caught up in the moment and be a little cautious.

If Ingrid plays like on the first lap, she can still fight at the top, he says.

Anna Nordqvist is also at the top before Sunday.

She is like Lindblad six under par, and thus also seven strokes behind Lee.
