​The UAE World Cup Team Participates in the International Federation of Referees’ World Cup Tournament

The team of international national referees, consisting of Mohamed Abdullah Hassan, "Referee of the Square", Mohamed Ahmed Al Hammadi, "First Assistant" and Hassan Al-Mahri "Second Assistant", will participate in the International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) tournament for referees in charge of managing the matches of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

The Football Association said in a statement that the program of the course, which will be held from 12 to 14 June, with the participation of 36 referees, 69 assistant referees and 24 video referees, includes a set of theoretical and practical lectures on arbitration and video cases, and the video assistant referee (VAR) technology with the help of players. It is noteworthy that the two international referees, Muhammad Abdullah Hassan and Muhammad Ahmad Al Hammadi, had previously participated in the “FIFA” seminar for referees nominated to manage the World Cup matches, which was held from the first to the fifth of November 2021.
