Mihambo is the dominator of the branch and is the reigning champion in the Olympics, WC and EC.

This year she has opened the season with 7.09 and is world number one.

Like Sagnia, she turned 28 earlier this year and they have competed against each other almost their entire careers.

Sagnia won at 6.95 at the upcoming World Cup arena Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon last Saturday, a nice form receipt for the championship July 15-24.

- It's so cool that she jumped so far.

We talked in Birmingham (Diamond League competition) about Eugene and I told her: "Go and rock" and so she did, which was so cool for her, Mihambo says to SVT Sport in a digital interview before the Continental Tour gala in Dutch Hengelo on Monday.

"More fun with competition"

That Sagnia has returned to the highest level with a new personal record of 6.95, which makes her third in the world right now, and has seven meters within reach as the first Swede is appreciated by Mihambo who has a personal record of 7.30.

- I know that she is a strong athlete but has had problems from time to time with injuries.

I'm so glad she's back.

It's always more fun for me to jump when there is competition and I get to feel the pressure.

I look forward to the World Cup and also the European Championships and to then be able to compete against Khaddi, says Mihambo.

What do you think is required for a medal in the World Cup?

- I do not want to talk about numbers, a lot depends on the weather, but we all know that if you jump over seven meters there is a great chance of a medal, says Mihambo who trained to achieve greater speed and stability on the approach track.

- I have had a good start to the season and feel a good self-confidence before the World Cup, says Mihambo.

Sagnia is not included in Hengelo but a Swede is included in the starting field: Tilde Johansson.

Start lists Hengelo.
