Tommy Eliasson Winter left the ski association after seven years as alpine manager in April.

It was then partly messy within the union but the decision was according to him his own.

Karin Stolt Halvarsson took over as acting alpine manager, but after two months in the post, she will take over the role permanently.

- I have had time to familiarize myself with what the role entails and understand both its challenges and complexity, so I look forward to the assignment and to, in collaboration with experienced employees, create good conditions for refining the business, says Karin Stolt Halvarsson.

Proud Halvarsson was the national manager of the ski association between the autumn of 2021 and until April this year when she took over as alpine manager.

- I am grateful that I had time to get acquainted with the national activities during my time as national manager.

It makes it easier so that I can now spend time understanding the parts that were not included there, she says.

53-year-old Stolt Halvarsson himself has a background as an alpine skier and was part of the European Cup team during the 90s.
