He also has a strong and tenacious defense that makes use of his abundant amount of exercise, and was selected as the Best Defender Award and the Best Five of the regular season, both of which won the award for the third time in a row for three years.
Fujii said, "I was surprised when I was called by my name. I was surprised that I was able to fight without any major injuries this season. I am disappointed to lose, I am happy to win, and so on. I want to continue playing basketball with an awareness of fun, and I want to do my best to give children dreams. "
