Merah Bahta finished third in her first 5000-meter race of the season with a time of 15: 06.48 - which is the fastest time she ran since 2016 when she took her personal best, 14: 49.95.

By far the best in the distance was Kazakh Daisy Jepkemei, who broke the track record with a time of 14: 45.69 by a good margin to second Kenyan Gloria Kite with a time of 15: 02.92.

Sixth in the race was Sarah Lahti with 15: 18.39, a bit away from the season best of 14: 04.87 from Birmingham.

Last year, Bahta ran 5000 meters in 15: 08.92 and with that time passed the Olympic qualifying limit, but once in place in Tokyo, she chose not to run the distance due to the heat.

Lovisa Lindh was close to the dream limit of 2 minutes at 800 meters.

With 2: 02.24, new season best, she finished fifth.

Won did French Rénelle Lamote with 2: 00.68.
