Sarri extends his contract with Lazio until 2025

Maurizio Sarri has renewed his coaching mission with Italian club Lazio until 2025, the team announced today, Thursday.

The 63-year-old former Chelsea, Juventus and Napoli coach agreed to extend his contract for two years, after he began his supervision of the club last June, succeeding Simone Inzaghi, who moved to coach Inter.

"Coach Maurizio Sarri has renewed the contract with the club to extend the validity of the agreement until 2025," Lazio said in a statement.

Sarri led Lazio to fifth place in his first season with him, to qualify for the European League (European League) next season.

Italian media reported that the veteran coach had obtained the guarantees he requested to be more involved in the club's contracting policy.

Sarri became famous for his "Saribol" tactic in Naples between 2015 and 2018.

He joined Chelsea, where he spent one season and won the Europa League, his first title as a coach, before moving to Juventus in 2019.

With the old lady's team, he won the Italian league title, but was sacked after one season.
