The Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, the top scorer of the Liverpool team, said that he is ready to "give up all his individual titles this season for the opportunity to repeat the Champions League final," which his team lost 1-0 to Real Madrid last Saturday.

Salah won the award for the best playmaker in the English Premier League this season, and shared the Golden Boot award for the tournament's top scorer with South Korean striker Son Heung-min.

He also won the England Football Critics Association's Player of the Year award.

Salah, who will turn 30 in the middle of this month, said through his Twitter account, "My appreciation from sports fans and journalists in the same season is something special that I will never forget."

Being recognised by the fans and by the sports in the same season is something special that I will never forget.

I would however give all those personal awards up for a chance at replaying that final, but that is not how football works.

"However, I could give up all these personal trophies for the chance of replaying the final, but that's not how football is run. I can't put into words how much we would like to bring this trophy back to Liverpool, but in the end we couldn't." .

"It has been a very long season, but I hope that the next season will start again tomorrow," the Egyptian captain added.

I cannot express in words how much we wanted to bring that trophy back to Liverpool but in the end we couldn't.

I cannot thank the fans enough for your support.

It has been a very long season but a part of me wishes the next one starts again tomorrow.

Salah also shared, through his personal account on the Instagram website, today, Thursday, pictures of the individual and collective titles he achieved this year with Liverpool, and a picture showing a moment of his heartbreak and disappointment after losing the Champions League title, and he repeated the same what he wrote in the previous tweet.

Salah's post received a wide interaction from the masses, as more than 250 thousand followers liked it in less than an hour after its publication, while the tweet garnered more than 130 thousand interactions and thousands of comments and retweets.

Liverpool finished the season with two titles, winning the League Cup and the FA Cup, and finished second in the league behind champion Manchester City.

Salah had won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2019, just one year after losing the 2018 final against Real Madrid as well.
