It was on Saturday that Khaddi Sagnia hit a new personal best, 6.95, at competitions at the World Cup arena in Eugene in American Oregon.

A message of joy, of course - but for the initiates it was completely as expected.

- Her capacity is high, we have seen that for several years.

She has had jumps that are over seven meters and longer.

What she has had to struggle with in recent years is to find the plank and become confident in it, says the Swedish national team captain Kajsa Bergvist.

Erica Johansson has had the Swedish record in long jump (6.99) for almost 22 years, but this year it will be smoky, Bergqvist is absolutely sure of that.

- Khaddi has been over seven meters many times in jumps where the plank hit may not have been true, so she has had that capacity for several years.

Now, with this start of the season, it is clear that Khaddi longs to beat it (the Swedish record), we all long for it.

It will happen this season, says Bergqvist.

That Sagnia also broke her personal record in Eugene, where the World Cup will be held later this summer (July 15-24), is something Bergqvist likes sharply.

- It means a lot.

When she gets in there next time, when it's the World Cup, the brain will switch on a lot of positive signals about how it went there last time and that should not be underestimated.

But she does not see Sagnia as a given gold candidate.

- There are many who have the chance of a medal, but that does not mean that everyone will win.

A good outcome is that 50 percent strikes, realistically we should be able to get three of us, if it goes really well we can get more, says Bergqvist who believes most in Armand Duplantis and Daniel Ståhl.

- We have a super strong gold favorite in "Mondo".

Daniel is challenged now for the first time and it will be a slightly new situation for him, but he has shown that he performs well at the big championships and he has routine and so on, so I think he has every opportunity to succeed.
