Olympique de Marseille still under the supervision of the DNCG.

The body responsible for monitoring the accounts of French professional clubs, asked Tuesday for "additional information" from OM before rendering its decision.

Last year at the same time, the DNCG had already requested additional information from the Marseille club before imposing on it a few days later a "supervision of the wage bill and transfer allowances".

A framework measure confirmed before the winter transfer window.

Difficulties in selling

Contacted by AFP, the management of OM assured Tuesday that the decision of the DNCG was part "in a normal procedure", without making further comment.

The club will present the elements requested by the body, which will make its decision before the start of the transfer window scheduled for June 9.

Even if the qualification for the Champions League obtained ten days ago ensures a significant inflow of money, OM remains an economically fragile club and its accounts have been in the red for several years.

In its latest report on club accounts, the DNCG thus recorded a loss of 76 million euros for OM over the 2020-2021 season.

The loss was 96 million the previous season and 91 million in the 2018-2019 season.

Marseille is struggling in particular to make sales on the transfer market.

A week ago, OM saw Boubacar Kamara, from his training center, leave the club free and without transfer compensation, at the end of his contract.
