This weekend, Sörenstam will compete in his first major competition in 14 years.

- I am at a different time in my life, it is in a different way, but it is clear that you want to do your best, she says.

The game feels good, the swing feels good and it is fun to be back on this particular course, states the Swede, who has no more stated result goal than to be able to play all four days.

But she has trained a lot before the competition.

"Satisfied with my game"

- You do not accept an invitation like this without being prepared, says Sörenstam.

- I am happy with my game so we will see how it goes.

In 1996, the now 51-year-old Sörenstam won his second US Open title (and his second major title) at Pine Needles.

After that, there were another eight major titles before the Swede ended her career.

"Memories come back"

Sörenstam made his last start in a major competition in 2008.

But now after the victory in the US Seniors Open, it's time again.

- There will be many memories that come back, she says.

In the starting field there are a total of eight Swedes - Linnea Johansson, Frida Kinhult, Pernilla Lindberg, Ingrid Lindblad, Anna Nordqvist, Madelene Sagström, Maja Stark and Annika Sörenstam.
