Abu Dhabi Sports Council announces a strategic partnership with the Argentine Football Association
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced a strategic partnership with the Argentine Football Association, in support of plans to strengthen the partnerships of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi with international sports institutions and bodies, and as an extension to attract elite international sporting events, and work to support hosting the historical events of Argentine football in Abu Dhabi, especially after the great public successes that Achieved football championships and the interaction of Latin football fans in Abu Dhabi.
وتأتي اتفاقية الشراكة ضمن خطط مجلس أبوظبي الرياضي المتواصلة لرفد العاصمة أبوظبي بمزيد من الفعاليات الرياضية الكبرى في ظل التواصل المباشر والعمل المشترك مع الاتحاد الأرجنتيني لكرة القدم الذي أثمر عن اتفاقية طويلة الأمد، يتضمن بموجبها استضافة أبوظبي لمعسكر المنتخب الأرجنتيني التحضيري لمونديال قطر 2022، وبرنامجه الذي يتضمن مجموعة مهمة من المباريات الودية في نوفمبر 2022.
كما ستشهد أبوظبي استضافة نهائيات كأس السوبر الأرجنتيني لمدة أربع سنوات متتالية ابتداءً من يناير 2023 حتى عام 2026. ما يعكس شعبية الكرة الأرجنتينية في المنطقة وحضورها الجماهيري الكبير الذي يرغب بمشاهدة ومساندة الفرق الأرجنتينية من عاصمة الرياضة العالمية أبوظبي، وبموجب الاتفاقية بات الاتحاد الارجنتيني أول اتحاد في أمريكا الجنوبية يبرم شراكة بهذه القيمة والمكانة، الأمر الذي له الأثر الكبير على شراكة الكرة الأرجنتينية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط.
Claudio Tapia, president of the Argentine Football Association, said: “We are very pleased to announce this strategic and historical agreement for our organization as part of our development plans, and moving the Argentine Super Cup to a destination like Abu Dhabi is an important and very meaningful step,” adding: “This agreement will give a greater global exposure and create New business opportunities for clubs and our association, welcome to the Abu Dhabi Sports Council as a new partner for the Argentine Federation, and together we will share the passion for football in the Middle East and we will work to leave a strong imprint in Abu Dhabi.”
For his part, Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, said: We are pleased with the strategic partnership with the Argentine Football Association, which comes among our priorities to strengthen our important partnership with international sports federations and institutions to create major sporting events that contribute to enhancing Abu Dhabi’s leadership in the global sports scene and its embrace of elite teams and teams and heroes.
