Al-Wasl club swimmer and the rising national team, Salem Ghaleb, continued his superiority and achievements, after winning two silver and bronze medals in the Gulf Games that concluded recently in Kuwait, in addition to breaking seven local records in the last UAE championship he participated in, bringing the number of local numbers to more than 50. country, to become the most swimmer in the history of the UAE, with numbers registered in his name at the age of 18, although he participated in the Gulf session in the adult category, not the youth, at a time when his coach, Mohammed Hassan, stresses his need for a 50-meter pool for Salem to train in instead of the 25-meter, which He is currently rehearsing it, he said.

The technical director of the swimming team at Al-Wasl Club, Mohamed Hassan, confirmed that Salem Ghaleb is a rising talent that needs great attention, noting that when a swimmer participates in a tournament, he succeeds in breaking the number of the category participating in it, in addition to the larger category, and he told «Emirates Today». Salem is one of the talented swimmers and has a great future in swimming in the Emirates, especially as he is young, and he succeeded in breaking the records of a country that has existed for more than 15 years.

He added, "Salem was greatly affected in the recent period by the absence of Youssef Al-Matrooshi, who left for America, because of the competition that brought swimmers together during training and tournaments, and it is the only way to develop the swimmer with the presence of competing swimmers, and we also suffer from the lack of a 50-meter pool constantly to train." Salem Ghaleb Ali, he is now training in the 25-meter pool, and participates in the tournament in the 50-meter pool, and despite this, he succeeds in achieving positive results, so what if Salem trains in the 50-meter pool.”

Mohammed Hassan continued, "There are many details in the swimming game, and training in the 50-meter pool is different from the 25-meter, and getting used to it is a completely different matter... Salem succeeded in breaking seven country records in less than two weeks during his participation in approved local championships, including country numbers." He added: “I succeeded in breaking more than one number, the last period, but frankly, I do not look for that as much as focusing and trying to be regular and work a balance between study and training, especially since I am still in high school, and I know that traveling now may be difficult, and therefore I always look for exploitation The time in training, whether it was in Al Wasl Club or Hamdan Sports Complex, and I was happy to be with the national team in the Gulf Games and play for the adult category, and get two medals in the tournament.”
